 Almost immediately after Jiffy® Steamer launched in 1940, the company patented and began producing the original J-1 hat steamer that solved the problems of blocking, shaping, and fitting hats. Since then, Jiffy has evolved into the world's oldest and largest steam technology manufacturer, inventing the steamer and the steaming process.

John Bailey Simrell, founder of Jiffy Steamer Company, was a forerunner in the steaming industry. Those with Jiffy® Steamer knew the invention was good for more than steaming hats, so a hose attachment and steam head were added. The new Jiffy® Steamer offered a revolutionary solution to an age-old problem of the clothing industry...removing wrinkles efficiently. Our company suffered a great loss when “Mr. John” left us almost two years ago, but the family tradition carries on. Today, three generations are involved in this closely-held company. Jiffy® Steamer Company, LLC is known around the globe (over 45 foreign markets) and is backed by over 1,000 dealers in the United States alone.
